At KELP Sushi Joint, we have a simple philosophy: Make it local, make it fresh, and make it sustainable.
We promise that we will use seasonal, locally-sourced produce whenever possible. We aim to bring a new and special concept to the South Tampa neighborhood that both locals and visitors alike can enjoy.
Every roll is made to order. It will never sit in a display case.
We make small batches of high-quality, short-grain rice throughout the day, instead of one large batch in the morning. It’s the small details we care about that ensure your meal just tastes better.
FAMILY & FRIENDS
Delicious, fresh sushi is our passion but so is family. Not only is KELP Sushi Joint dedicated to the parents of owner, Wesley Chiu; all the photos you see in the restaurant and on this website are genuine vintage family photos.
KELP is also dedicated to friendship. We want friends to gather within our walls to share food, fun and laughter. We consider our team, their family and friends to be part of our extended family as well.
